Masoumeh Niknam known as Azita Lachini is an Iranian voice dubber, radio announcer, film and television actress.
Azita Lachini was born on December 17, 1938, in Qavaam-doleh bazaar, in Vazirnezam alley, Tehran.
Three years after her early marriage, at the age of 11, her husband died. The result of this marriage was a girl and a boy. She lost her son when he was only a few months old due to pregnancy at a young age.
In one of her interviews, Azita Lachini mentions that after the death of her husband, when she was 13 years old, her two-year-old daughter was taken from her, and she returned to her father's house and there she continues her education. She get married again in 1955 and the result is 5 children. Among these, her two sons passes away at a young age due to different reasons.
Lachini started broadcasting and performing radio dramas in 1958. She entered the field of acting through her second husband "Amir Mozaffaroddin Lachini" and chose his last name for herself.
Lachini began narrating and voice acting in radio in 1958 and her acting career on stage of theater three years later. She made her cinematic debut in 1962 with the movie ‘A Traveler from Heaven’ (Mosafari Az Behesht), directed by Nosratollah Vahdat.
After the death of her second husband, Azita Lachini married Firouz Behjat Mohammadi, who died in 1999.
