Synopsis

Winner of the Cannes Film Festival Grand Prize, Theo Angelopoulos’s deeply moving odyssey centers on Alexander (portrayed by Bruno Ganz), a celebrated Greek writer who, while terminally ill, focuses on one special last idyllic day.
