Ghazal (1976) told the story of two forester brothers who fall in love with a seductress (Pouri Banai).
Soon the brothers realize that the presence of the woman has poisoned their peaceful existence, and that they have to get rid of her.
In a macabre and at the same time lyrical final sequence the brothers stab the woman who is laughing gaily.
Ghazal was Kimiaee's first color picture, but it was a commercial flop although he had cast a popular star of the period, Ali Fardin as the main actor.
The failure of the film was considered the response of the public who had become accustomed to Kimiaee's particular type of cinema.
