Standing in the Dust | Istadeh Dar Ghobar (2016)

Synopsis

The story is about Ahmad during the Iran-Iraq war. Ahmad's mission was as an army commander to confront the enemy at the gates of the Khorramshahr, a port city, in southwestern Iran.

But his fate is determined far from the Iranian border.The film uses real footage of his voice which had been recorded during 1980s.

It was selected to participate in the 34th Iranian Fajr Film Festival's Un nouveau regard section and won the Crystal Simorgh for the best film at Fajr Film Festival 2015.

The film was produced in the drama and war documentary genre and was released in Iranian cinemas on June 10, 2016.

The serial version of 'Standing in the Dust', which is taken from the cinema version of this film, was broadcast in July 2017 in six episodes on the channel One of Iranian tv.
