A Short Film About Love is an expanded film version of Dekalog: Six, part of Kieslowski's 1988 Polish language ten-part television series, Dekalog. The film was selected as the Polish entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 61st Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee.
