Synopsis

Seyed Mahmoud is a welder hard at work on the Iranian railway when he learns that his wife has disappeared.

Returning to Tehran, Mahmoud finds few people willing to help him locate her, while the rumor that she has run away and humiliated him provides unending neighborhood gossip.

This provocative second feature from director Maziar Miri begins as a realistic domestic mystery, but as it challenges ingrained societal stigmas it ultimately speaks in the powerful — and hopeful — language of a modern-day myth.



This film is the story of the struggle of the Iranian young generation with the taboos of their society.
