The Eighth Day of the Week | Hashtomin Rooz-e Hafteh (1974)

Synopsis

Lily (Farzaneh Taidi), is a medical student; one night, when she is coming home, she is raped in a deserted alley in the dark. Her Friend, Ali (Ali Shah Yalany), realizes her situation out of a consideration of Lily's behavior.

The young offender, who had raped Lily, makes a phone call to her saying that he regrets what he did. Ali, listening to this conversation from another phone, tries to find a solution.

In the wedding day of Ali and Sima (Zhaleh Saam), the young offender(Dariush), calls Ali and declares that he is willing to marry Lily.

At the time when Ali and Sima are enjoying their honeymoon, Dariush contacts Lily and tells her the truth.

Feeling hurt by knowing the truth, Lili escapes to the northern city of Ramsar where Dariush finds her and again tries to express his regret to her...
