Ebrahim Moradi is an Iranian screenwriter, director, producer, cinematographer, actor and one of the pioneers of Iranian cinema.
Moradi is one of the three or four artists with whose names Iranian cinema begins. Moradi was 23 years old when Ovanes Ohanian published the advertisements of "Cinema Artistic School" in widely circulated newspapers in 1930.
Ebrahim Moradi is known for Bolhavas (1933), Kamarshekan (1951) and Peyvande zendegi (1953).
In the first period of film-making (1316-1309), when Iranian cinema was going "slowly", Moradi was among the few but tasteful group of cinema activists. Out of a total of 9 films of this period, two films were made by him: Brother's Revenge (1310) and Belhous (1313).
Ibrahim Moradi was born in Bandar Anzali in 1286 AH. At the age of 12, he had joined the Jangal Movement led by Mirza Kochch Khan Jangali and played a role in the Revolutionary Republic of Gilan. It is said that he got acquainted with the art of theater in Anzali Rushdiyeh School under the instruction of Grigor Yaqikian and the late Omid Homayun's private cinema theater in Anzali. Ebrahim Moradi fled to the Soviet Union for the first time after the defeat of the jungles, and during his forced stay in Moscow, he was attracted to photography.
brother's revenge
After returning to Iran in 1309, Moradi started filming in Anzali to make a feature film that was later called "Brother's Revenge" or "Body and Soul". This film was finally shown in an incomplete form in the same year in the Armenian Hall of Rasht for 55 minutes.
The important feature of this film is its independent production from the current flow of Iranian cinema at that time, which was concentrated in Tehran and India. Moradi started the production and filming of this film at the same time as the filming of "Abi and Robbie" by Avance Oganians. But since cinema was an unknown art in Iran, no one was willing to help him financially. Because the film production process took until 1310 in a relatively complete way, the film "Brother's Revenge" is the third Iranian fiction film that was shown in Tehran, and since cinema historians place the time of a film's screening in the capital as their historical criterion. They wrote that Moradi has made the third Iranian feature film, which is ambiguous. Buhalhos
Ebrahim Moradi in the opening sequences of the film Bualhous, which was made in Langrod in 1313, refers to parts of the customs and culture of the rural masses in the east of Gilan. But this matter goes astray by pursuing the love-moral story of the film. However, Boalhous has a stronger coherence and structure compared to other similar films at that time, namely "Haji Agha Aktor Cinema" and "Dochter Ler"; which shows the talent and knowledge of Ebrahim Moradi towards cinema. Establishing a children's school
After retiring from cinema in 1351, he founded the "Kudek Pod" school with the aim of discovering exceptional and genius children. passed away He died in Tehran in 1356.
