Zinat runs a health clinic in a rural part of Southern Iran. Though it is unusual for a young woman to have such a position, she is highly valued and respected in the community.
When she becomes engaged to Hamed, his mother demands that Zinat quit her job. Wishing to please her mother-in-law, she leaves her esteemed position.
But when a medical emergency occurs in the village, she realizes that she may have to reconsider the choice she made.
