Ahmad Ghadakchian (July 16, 1920 – December 8, 2006)
Ahmad Ghadakchian (July 16, 1920 – December 8, 2006) was a veteran Iranian theater, cinema and television actor.
Ghadakchian was born in Sangalaj neighborhood of Tehran. He started his career by studying at the drama academy and acting in the play "Iskandar and Dara" in 1942, and after that he acted in other plays, such as Othello, The Flower Seller's Daughter, The Fall of the Cabinet, and 23 other plays in his entire career.
His first appearance in a movie was in 1951 with Golden Dreams and after that he appeared in more than 117 movies, including Havas, Haft shahr-e eshgh, Guilty, Emshab dokhtari mimirad, Khab O Khial, A Man Who Suffers, Ladder of Progress, Gedayan-e Tehran, Doostane yekrang, crazy, Leyli and Majnoon, Inheritance, Let me live and Red Line.
He also acted in the TV series This House is Far Away, Imam Ali, Paper Flowers, Childhood Notes and several other series.
During his artistic activities, Ghadakchian collaborated with people such as Parviz Khatibi, Shahla Riahi, Ataollah Zahed, Masoud Kimiai, etc.
He was the husband of the late Iranian actress hahla Riahi's sister. He died on the Friday morning of December 8, 2006 due to heart disease.
