In 1989, Khamseh starred in Kianoush Ayari's film The Grand Day (Rooz-e Bashokooh) alongside Ali Nassirian, Iraj Tahmasb and Gohar Khairandish. Although this movie was well received by the audience, Khamseh's real breakthrough happened with Hoshyar o Bidar TV series in 1984.

In the same year, he played the lead role in Hassan Hedayat's "The Devil's Eye" that was in an incident genre and different from Khamseh's other works.
