The Chess Game of the Wind | Shatranj-e Baad (1976)
Synopsis
Decadence of a family in Qajar years in Iran. At the beginning of iranian Solar Century (1921), the ground lady in a well-known aristocratic familiy dies.
Her heir, the Ms. Small, is lame. A conflict takes place over the ownership of family wealth between Atabak, the small lady's stepfather, Knyzk (the female family servant), nurse and nephews of Atabak.
One day Ms. Small knocks Atabak over the head with a mild when he is doing his daily prayer and assisted by Knyzk, the female servant hides him in the basement.
The next day, the inquisitor begins interrogating the family members, but he can not find out anything. Later on it becomes clear that Atabak is alive and has a relationship with Knyzk.
Ms. Small, decides to shot Atabak this time, and she does it. Nephews get in fights with each other, and all except Knyzk becomes victims of family wealth.
