The film offers critical interpretations of his works from cinema experts, enriched with personal anecdotes from his peers. This film is only available in Persian and does not have subtitles.
Mehrjui: The Forty-Year Report was prepared over five years from 2006 to 2011. In this documentary, personalities such as: Dariush Shaygan, Goli Taraghi, Ezzatollah Entezami, Khosrow Shakibai, Bita Farahi, Leila Hatami, Niki Karimi, Masoud Farasati and a large number of prominent Iranian filmmakers are present.
An attractive and lively documentary and a show of memorable images from some of Mehrjui's films, especially the disgruntled critic, Masoud Farasati's verbal argument and Dariush Mehrjoui's response to his criticisms.
