An informational documentary offering some general insight to the activities taking place at Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute.

"Half a century ago when I made this documentary, filmmaking was not an easy task because the Ministry of Culture and Arts welcomed more than anything else the production and broadcast of films that would satisfy the demands of the ruling system."

"...We filmmakers were also tired of the Ministry of Culture and Arts because it demanded things from us that we did not like. For this reason, I was invited by Heshmat Jazani, the consultant of the Plan and Budget Organization at the time, who was one of my friends, to make programs about the current affairs of this organization. I agreed to do this under the condition that we can gain artistic experience from these films. Jazani was very receptive to this idea, and so our studies began."


"In the initial study of more than 120 subjects, it came out about the various events that were happening in the country, and the Razi Serum Institute was one of them. Although I was a graduate of dramatic arts from England, I had not made a film until then, but filmmaking was a longing for me. That's why I wanted to do the hardest work. The most difficult work was at this Razi Serum Institute because no one could communicate with the subject of their work, but I believed that even mice, pigs and rabbits are worth making a film about as much as the rest of the things that are valuable to us."

"Making the film took a year because there were many failures during this time. After some time, Jazani and those who had a positive view of this work left the Plan and Budget organization and another gang took their place. This gang and factionalism made me, who had a contract with the organization, to be fired and not allowed to make the documentary. The tragic part of the story is that if it were not for this gang and factionalism, dozens of movies like this would have been made. After this incident, through Gholamhossein Mosaheb, who was one of my friends, I was able to get the footages from the organization and took them to the Iranfilm studio and put them together, but after the film was shown at the film center, Nishdaroo became very popular both in Iran and abroad." - Manouchehr Anvar
