Synopsis Long - awaited Majid Majidi's new feature tells the story of Yusef, a 45 - year - old professor of literature. Having lost his eyesight when he was little, he has lived in the darkness. Now, he just enjoys a peaceful life with his wife and daughter. But when he visits France to get treatment for some other illness, his eyesight, in a bizarre twist, is regained. Back home, how can he reconcile what he has seen in his heart so far with reality?
