Moezzodivan Fekri (1900 - October 8, 1985)
Moezzodivan Fekri (born 1900 in Tehran - died on 8 October 1985) was an Iranian actor, director and writer. He is one of the founders of Iran's contemporary theater.
As the son of Moayedol-Mamalek Fekri Ershad, he graduated from Saint Louis School in Tehran.
Fekri started his artistic career in 1918 and played together with performers from the National Theater Group. "Resurrection and Beggar's Child" was his first theatrical work that was staged at the Grand Hotel.
In 1921, with the help of Hassan Moghaddam, he established the Jamiate Irane Javan (Young Iranian Association) and staged the famous Iranian play "Jafar Khane Az Farang Bargashteh".
In 1924, after studying for some time under the guidance of Alinaghi Vaziri as his teacher, Fekri started teaching at the Music Conservatory. In 1939, he also began to teach at the Tehran Academy of Arts.
His first experience as a director began in 1951 by making the movie Golden Dreams (Khabhaye Talayi).
Fekri finally died on 8 October 1985 after a long illness.
