Another Time | Zamani Digar (2018) Iranian writer-director Nahid Hassanzadeh's first feature (iranarthousefilm.net)
Hassanzadeh’s works mostly deal with the problems and difficulties confronting women in society.
Directed by Nahid Hassanzadeh, ‘Another Time’ tells the story of Ghadir who is a chemical plant worker going through a hard time. After protesting against being unpaid for over a year, he is arrested during a demonstration and imprisoned without trial. He’s released one year later with no explanation given. On arriving home he finds his daughter, Somayeh, has given birth out of wedlock…
Her first feature film went on limited theatrical release in Iranian movie theaters after taking bows at several international festivals across the globe.
Cast: Majid Potki, Yasaman Nosrati, Shaghayegh Kamandi, Fatemeh Mortazi, Mansoor Nobakht, Fariba Khademi, Farimah Bandpey

Nahid Hassanzadeh was born in Mianeh, Iran, on the 11th of March 1974. She qualified as a midwife from Tehran University in 1998 and went on to study filmmaking at the “Iranian Young Cinema Society” of Tehran.
While continuing her profession of midwife, she has been able to make short films and documentaries. Most of her work deals with the problems and difficulties confronting women in today’s society and how their femininity impinges on their lives.
The themes evoked have a direct link with her profession and the everyday relationships she has with her female patients and especially with those most at risk.
