Maryam Moghadam (February 16, 1970, Tehran, Iran)
Maryam Moghaddam (born 1969 in Tehran) is an Iranian actress.
She is best-known for her part in Jafar Panahi and Kambuzia Partovi's 2013 film Closed Curtain, which premiered at the 63rd Berlin International Film Festival.
Moghadam first studied political science in Sweden, but dropped out due to her interest in directing. She is a graduate of the Gothenburg International School of Performing Arts in Sweden and has been working as an actress at the Swedish National Theater from 2005 to 2011.
She has translated the books "Three Days with Bergman" and "Zahak" into Persian. She started acting in cinema in 1993 with "Zero Height" directed by "Hosseinali Lialestani".
She then starred in the films "Cinema is Cinema" (1996) and "Guram Horam" (1999) and the TV series "Stay with me".
Maryam Moghaddam lives in Sweden and sometimes returns home to Iran to star in a film.
