Tahmineh (1935 - December 15, 2020)
Tahmina Etminan Moghadam (1935, Mashhad - December 15, 2020) was a veteran Iranian cinema and theater actress and the wife of actor/director Iraj Ghaderi.
She entered the world of cinema as an actress in 1953, and until the mid-1960s, with her real name as well as Tahmineh as her stage name, she appeared in more than 20 films, including Zendegi shirin ast (1956), Telesme shekasteh (1959), Dogholuha (1959), Majeraye jangal (1961), Goli dar shoorehzar (1961), Sahele Entezar (1963), Bonbast (1965) and Daghe nang (1965).
She was also active in the theater and appeared in plays such as "Professor Sosol", "Topaz", "Eshghe Piri", "Mozaheme Zendegi" and "Critical Night".
In 1965, at the height of her success, Etminan Moghadam retired from cinema.
She was the niece of Shahla Riahi (famous Iranian actress).
Private life
In 1952, Tahmineh married Iraj Ghaderi, who later became one of the most successful actors and directors of Iranian cinema. At Ghaderi's request, she left the world of acting. The result of their marriage was a son named Tooraj, who died in a car accident in America in the early 1970s.
She died on Tuesday night, 15 December 2020 at the age of 85 due to contracting the corona virus.
