Rogheyeh Chehreh-Azad (1907-1994)Rogheyeh Chehreh-Azad was born in Tehran. She began stage acting with the play “Women’s Role in Society” and made her film debut with “The Storm of Life”. After the Barbod Association was founded in 1926, she began working with the late Mehrtash, Zhaleh Olov and Shahla Riyahi. She continued her performance activities after the Nakisa Theater was founded in 1930. She received a Certificate of Merit from the Theater Enthusiasts Association in 1962 on the World Theater Day. She received the Fajr International Film Festival Crystal Symorgh for Best Actress for Ali Hatami’s “Mother”.
